Father's Day
We had a craft fair in Ashton on the weekend of Father's Day so because we were already north we took a trip into Grand Teton National Park. We checked into the hotel and Alayna's front tooth was super wiggly. She sat in front of the mirror wiggling it so it would fall out. Eventually I helped it out and the tooth fairy had to come to the hotel that night.
The drive was beautiful.
We really wanted to see some animals. Does this one count?
We found this beach near our lunch stop. The kids took their shoes off and waded in! We were the only ones there!
At lunch we had to get a picture of her toothless grin.
Ok so we really did see wildlife. This bear was on the side of the road from us. It was probably less than 50 yards from us.
We were trying to take a selfie with the park sign in the background because we were the only ones there. A few minutes later a nice family pulled in and offered to take our family picture with the sign if we would do the same for them. Win win for all!
We left Grand Teton and drove through Yellowstone on the way back home rather than backtracking through Grand Teton.
It was a nice, calm get away. I am always amazed at the landscapes as you can see by the number of pictures taken of mountains, rivers, animals etc. We always have a great time seeing new things and being together as a family. If you get a chance I would highly encourage you to go see our National Parks!
