Our Adventures in Twin Falls
There are so many fun and interesting things about Twin Falls. One of the coolest attractions is the Perrine Bridge.
The most distinctive trait of the Perrine Bridge is its status as the only bridge in the U.S. where BASE jumping is legal year round without a permit. During most weekends, you can usually catch a group of jumpers leaping from the east side of the span. I am excited to see this come summer! This bridge is a 48 story drop which is equivelant to 486 feet high and is a 993 foot span across! It is impressive and you don't want to miss it when visiting Twin Falls!
During the warmer months they do boat rides below it and there are several golf courses in the canyon near the bridge. It is gorgeous and the view is remarkable!
Also there are waterfalls and some neat streams in the canyon!
While we were in Twin Falls over Easter we were able to take a few minutes out of our day to honor a soldier that lost his life in selfless service!
Sgt. Daniel J. Brown, 27, of Jerome, Idaho, died March 24 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. He is survived by his wife and twin 4 month old girls and many other family members.
We bought the kids flags to wave as the procession went by and explained what happened.
May we all be more thankful for the lives we live and the family we have!
The time we have with them could come to a close at any time!
