It is already a new year which means I need to play catch up on the last month of 2014!
There will be several posts within the next few days.
Brayden played basketball. Josh was able to coach his team too! It was fun to watch them learn and be good sports!

He enjoyed it so much he spent a lot of time up the street at the park practicing!
During practices us girls had fun just hanging around!
We will soon have a team picture I will add to this post!

Halloween

We started partying for Halloween at school with the kids. They get to be in a costume parade while carrying a book that has their character in it. Doesn't she make a cute Penny the witch?
My Brayden was more handsome than the Man with the Yellow Hat.
That evening we had dinner and trick or treated around our neighborhood. It's always fun for the older folks in our ward to have little visitors. It seems to make their night that they weren't forgotten.
Earlier in the week we had a neighborhood party at the church. We had potluck soup and a trunk or treat with the kids.
Then Halloween night we went to Grandpa and Grandma Dawson's.

We hope you were all safe and that you didn't eat to many treats.
Until Next Year!

Odds and Ends

Before summer ended we got out and enjoyed  family fun!
The scout expo was fun and the kids got to try some new things.

The kids got their faces painted.

Crazy hair day at school.
 Just having fun.

Josh and Brayden at the Skyline vs Idaho Falls football game. Brayden was enthralled with Skyline painting the posts since they won the game.
Kaytlin lost her first lost tooth. She has several loose and several growing in behind her baby teeth.
Going to the corn maze as a family! We did the corn maze, rode a little tractor train to the pumpkin patch, and went down the large slides several times. Lots of fun had by all.

As a kid I remember lots of fun things we did as a family but my most favorite memory with my Grandpa Neil was going rollerskating each week with him.
In high school he gave me my own pair of skates.
These skates have a lot of miles on them. The last many years (approx. 15) they have been stored in a box in my basement just waiting for more miles.
In September we went to the rollerskating rink with the kids. I got these roller skates back out of the box and smiled thinking about the memories. Lets just say rollerskating is just like riding a bike. The kids were unsure for a bit but then they took right off.

This will not be a one time thing. I love skating. Feeling the air as you round each corner knowing you are balanced on four little wheels. It is exhilarating and fun! I will be getting lots more miles on these skates before/if I pass them down. The kids will know the art of rollerskating and maybe one day they will be able to have the fond memories with us like I have with my grandpa.

Fall Soccer
This fall Kaytlin was able to play AYSO soccer. She loved it and she had beautiful weather the whole season! Her final game was this past weekend. Go #5!

We all had fun cheering her on from the sidelines!

School
Well the kids went back to school just this week! Brayden is in fifth grade and is 10 years old. Every day after school this week I have heard about his teachers 55 rules. Most of them are good even.
Kaytlin is in 1st grade this year and is 6 years old. She gets to go all day and tells me she sees so many kids during the day either during lunch or recess.

Alayna and I just hang out at home or do fun activities. Most days are quiet!
We are working with her on her alphabet too! It is an adjustment for everyone!
