 Spring Break

For spring break we made a break for it.
We all left work and school early on March 18th and headed toward Las Vegas for the night. We had a ten hour drive with a few pit stops.

We arrived and hit the Las Vegas Strip!

We were all glad to get out of the car so we walked until about 1:30 a.m. and then went back to the hotel for some sleep.

The next morning we got breakfast and bought some tickets for the public transportation.
We visited all the tourist spots.

Hershey's Chocolate World

M&M World

Headed back to our hotel for the car and to drive up to the Las Vegas Temple.

Then we headed west into California! Five hours until we arrived at our destination.
March 20th - San Diego Zoo

March 21st - SeaWorld

Dolphin Show

Sea Lion Show

Rides

Killer Whale Show
We sat in the splash zone at every show and really didn't get wet!

More Rides

Sharks

Visited The Unconditional Surrender Statue
U.S.S. Midway Ship

We left our hotel and headed to see the San Diego Temple before leaving town on March 22nd.
With the shooting in the parking lot the last night...We were very thankful to move on.

On March 22nd we drove up to Anaheim/Los Angeles. We spent the day checking out the sites in the area. This was as close to the Hollywood sign we were able to get.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame

Visited the Los Angeles Temple & Visitor Center

Santa Monica Pier

The Pacific Ocean & Venice Beach

March 23rd - Disneyland/California Adventure

Some rides we had to play the waiting game so the kids would sit and play together.

In the afternoon each day we went into California Adventure.

In the background was our least favorite ride...swaying cars on the ferris wheel!
Alayna got overheated so we took a break. We had a mini photo session.

March 24th - Disneyland Day 2
We started off with the longest wait to ride...
Stars Wars: The Rise of the Resistance

Kaytlin was not feeling well and was miserable most of the day. We spent some time in the shade relaxing her eyes.

We took advantage of all the photo stops throughout both parks.

We started heading out of the park before the fireworks but they went off so we turned around and watched while enjoying out Dole Whip treat.

Our hotel in Anaheim, The Alamo. We loved how close to the park it was.

Visited a souvenir store on our way out of town.

Our drive home was long. We ended up staying overnight in Winnemucca, NV.
We stayed over in Boise for Kaytlin's state gymnastics competition and we had her eye checked out before heading home.
We were so glad to be back home but we certainly enjoyed the trip. We made lots of new memories.
