Fast Trip To Utah

About a week ago we got a call that because we were put on a wait list for an appointment at  Primary Children's in December we were next. They had two appointments to choose from: that day or December 23rd so we opted for the 23rd. We took off right after church Sunday December 22nd. We checked into the hotel and headed to Temple Square to see all the lights.

We then got dinner at a place called The Pie Pizzeria. The pizza was as large as the table. Even with Brayden we couldn't finish it all.

 We went back to the hotel and went swimming.

On Monday morning we got up, had breakfast, and checked out of the hotel. We had to pick up some things in West Jordan so we drove by the temples in that area. We then had Alayna's dr appointment.

In the waiting room at Primary Children's Neurology. We could see the whole Salt Lake Valley.

Her appointment went well. Her doctor was impressed with how she is doing but did increase her medications a bit because she is still having minor partial seizures. They also did a blood draw to make sure the medication isn't causing other issues.

We have a friend whose little girl is in Primary Children's PICU so we stopped in to check on them but ended up visiting with them at the Ronald McDonald House. Their story is heart wrenching and hopefully she can fight this! They hope to be home this time next year or sooner.

We then had a pick up in Preston so decided to drive home through Logan to see Nichole and the kids. All the kids wore each other out so the rest of the drive home our kids slept.We were glad to be home when we pulled in about 7:30 pm.
