Day Trip
A few months back we decided to get tickets to attend the Star Valley Temple Open House. This last Saturday we loaded up the family and took off on our adventure. We left our house at 7:30 a.m. and drove through some beautiful fall colors through Palisades.

The kids thought it was great that Afton and the surrounding area had a small amount of snow on the ground.

The drive was beautiful with the fall colors, the snow on the trees, and the ominous looking clouds.

We drove into Cokeville for Josh. He is interested in history and after seeing The Cokeville Miracle movie he just had to see the place. We let the kids get out here for a few minutes to play on a playground.

Then we stopped in Montpelier to have lunch. We then went across the street to the Trail Center Museum. The kids got to play with an old typewriter and cash register.  It made our travels easier when we allowed the kids opportunities to get out of the car.

Then off to Soda Springs. We were a bit early for the geyser so we went and got a treat from Broulims and then went back to watch the geyser.

We also saw a historical marker for a grave and had to go find it.
I just have to say my camera takes amazing pictures while moving! We didn't stop the car but I had to take pictures of the mountains and clouds! We live in a magnificent country!

That was a fun day trip and get away for our family.
We look forward to our next adventure soon!
